College years
Bob entered Stevens Technical Prep School in Lancaster, PA to improve his
academic standing so he could be eligible for a football scholarship at
a college. After a year at Stevens, he was offered a football scholarship
by Newberry College in South Carolina. He was fast, elusive, and in very
good physical shape. He was a halfback in college. After he got injured
(knee and back) he saw much less playing time. Thanks to his football skills
he was able to get his college degree.
