I was on the shortwave radio taking requests (demands) from the field personnel. These were people who dug ditches for storm and sanitary sewer lines. They were crude, tough, argumentative, cursing types of guys.
I also was to prepare and audit billing that we sent to municipalities to make sure we got paid properly.
Pure pressure packed environment of 10 hours a day - 6 days a week.
Lots of cursing and arguing in the office too. I was willing to give as much as I got - maybe even more. I got fired.
