Original Yarnall Areas
To America

A business trip in early 1980s took me to Milton Keynes.
Early Yarnall country.

Look left to see how close Milton Keynes was to Worcester.
Look right to see all the towns (Martin Hussingtree, Hadzor, Oddingley, and Claines) where Yarnall families lived. The blue dashes indicate the Severn. It flows to Bristol.

I did not know about the Yarnall origins when I was in Milton Keynes. I surely would have visited those towns when I was so close.

Find the names of hamlets of Hadsor, Martin Hussingtree, Oddingley, and Claines in tan map - pause your cursor on them!
Can you find the Severn River? It is near Claines.

Plus (+) symbols mark locations of hamlets. Brown ovals mark Yarnall country.
Recent map of same areas. Severn River is blue.

The lines show 10 kilometers for distance reference. That is a little more than 6.2 miles. There are around fourteen houses and a Roman Catholic church in the village of Hadzor. There is no shop or school and the church was closed in the 1970s.
Brownheath Farm was near the hamlet of Martin Hussingtree. In 1693 it was part of the estate of John Yarnall. When inventoried it had quite a number of cattle. He was the father of the Yarnall men who came to America in 1683. Rick Yarnell of Kansas City provided this information in 2001. There is a book named "Yarnall Family in America". It was written in 1913 by John K. Yarnall.
