See the gravestone on the right. I do not know when George's middle name of Sylvester was dropped and the initial J for John was used. It was common to have a saint's name attached to a child's name that was given at birth. My dad was given the name Thomas Vincent at birth. I was told he was givn the name of Saint Joseph by the church. He never used the two middle names of Joseph and Vincent. Uncle George apparently preferred to keep the Saint John name and dropped his otiginal middle name of Sylvester. I do not know who Louise was. Uncle George and Aunt Anna married in 1924. I doubt that Louise was their daughter. It looks like Louise was born and died in 1917. Louise did not appear in any census records. Maybe she died right after her 1917 birth. That is when Uncle George was 21. He enlisted in the Army in 1917. |
